U.S.-Israel Relationship
"Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave." John F. Kennedy
Our support for the State of Israel and a strong U.S.-Israel relationship is rooted in recognition of shared values, mutual security interests and our commitment to a secure homeland for the Jewish people. It does not depend on the outcome of any political election or personality. We support a two-state solution, which will enable the people of Israel to live in peace as a Jewish state.
We recognize that antisemitism may also manifest itself in attacks on the existence of Israel as a Jewish state. To hold Israel to a different, higher standard than any other nation, denying it even the right to self-defense from attack, or to insist that Jews, unlike all the peoples of the world, should not have a homeland- is to treat Jews differently- and worse. We oppose the BDS movement which seeks to isolate, and eventually undermine the Jewish state.
